OCL 150W 49V C5200 ARCAM

The article of OCL 150W 49V C5200 mean Power Amplifier made by ARCAM that uses Final Output transistor C5200 / 2SA1943 which has a power capability of up to 150 Watts with a supply voltage of 49 Volts simmetrically.

Power Schematic was taken from the ARCAM AVR250 series, a power amp made in the 2000 era.

The supply voltage in this circuit is 49 Volts which it possible to reaching an output power of up to 147 Watts at a load of 8 Ohms or 216 at a load of 4 Ohms.

The above scheme uses only a pair of Final Power transistors with the 2SC5200 / 2SA1943 series.

Block Diagram of circuit are:

  • Preamp Differensial,
  • Voltage Amplifier,
  • Servo Driver,
  • Over Current Protection,
  • Driver Power,
  • Final Power Amplifier.

The preamplifier in this circuit uses the Q402/Q403 current mirror feature.

Also uses the Q406/Q407 current stabillizer feature.

GAIN in this circuit is the ratio of resistance values between R412 (22K) to R410 (680).

If you want to change the GAIN value then you can change the value of R412 to the number you want.

The voltage amplifier in this circuit features a signal level stabilizer.

Which installs Q408 to locking the incoming signal to Q409/Q410 if it is too big.

Similarly to Q411, it served as a regular locking on Q412.

Q413 serves as the Servo Bias for Final Output transistors.

Q414 and Q415 are OCP transistors, where it works to dissipate the current entering the Driver transistor if there is too large an output current.
